Welcome to Happy House School, a vibrant and nurturing learning community offering kindergarten, primary, and junior secondary education. We believe that every child deserves an education that helps them not only learn, but also feel inspired, valued, and confident.
Guided by this belief, we provide a joyful and supportive environment where children can thrive academically, emotionally, and socially, while following the Kenyan curriculum.
Choosing the right school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will ever make. At Happy House School, your child will receive more than just an education, but they will become part of our school family. Here, happiness, kindness, curiosity, and a love of learning are at the heart of everything we do.
Happy House School was founded by Sue and David Hayward, whose vision was to create a place where children could grow, learn, and flourish in a caring and joyful environment.
Since Sue’s death in 2021, Papa Dave has continued her legacy with the support of a dedicated and experienced leadership team. The school is led day-to-day by Headteacher Madam Lucy, whose commitment, care, and strong leadership ensure that every child is supported to thrive.
Together, they continue to build on Sue’s vision – nurturing a school where happiness and learning go hand in hand, and where every child feels safe, valued and inspired.

Happy House School provides an exceptional educational experience from early years to junior secondary, following the Kenyan Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC). This approach not only emphasises skill development and real-world application but also nurtures independence and resilience, which are essential for lifelong success.
In addition, our small class sizes ensure personalised attention for every child. Our dedicated teachers foster curiosity, kindness, and determination, helping us create not just successful learners but also compassionate, well-rounded individuals.
Our school is thoughtfully designed to support children at every stage of their learning journey. We are fortunate to have a range of facilities that help every child reach their full potential:
Thank you to iNet Africa for providing internet connectivity to our school. Through their Corporate Social Responsibility support, our children can access global online classes in coding, languages, and wellbeing, expanding their learning beyond the classroom. As we continue to grow and work towards getting enough devices for everyone to access, we are working towards offering community classes for all through a partnership with My Little Zen. iNet,you have enabled to us to connect the world- thank you!

Happy House School warmly welcomes children from both the Happy House Children’s Home and the local community. Spaces are limited, so we encourage early enrolment to secure your child’s place.
We invite all prospective families to visit us and experience the warmth, happiness, and strong sense of community that make Happy House School the ideal foundation for your child’s future.
