Maize is the staple crop in Kenya and in our seeds are sown on every spare patch of land in the time when the rains are approaching.
At Happy House we grow it too, and Daudi and Hussein have planted their own little plot of maize and have used some of the netting left over from the refurbishment of our greenhouses, to create their own mini greenhouse to shelter their plants from the intense heat of the sun.
