Our children who are in Grade 8 students have recently started taking part in weekly online maths lessons using newly donated technology.
The sessions take place in our My Little Zen Room, which has been set up as a calm, focused space for learning.
With the help of the newly donated laptop and a strong internet connection, the students are now able to join small group lessons with Daniel – a teacher from England who now lives in Costa Rica and volunteers his time each week to us.
The lessons focus on key maths skills to help the children feel more confident and prepared for their next stage of learning.
Working in small groups also means each child can get more support and attention.
This new initiative is part of our efforts to make the most of the technology now available to the children, using it in ways that directly benefit their education and future.
We’re proud of how the children are engaging with this new opportunity, and grateful to those who have made it possible.
