In a world driven by computers, we feel it is important to encourage our Happy House children to choose a book and read.
Reading, we know, has so many benefits in improving application and vocabulary, enhancing imagination, critical thinking and analytical skills.
For our children it also improves their English, the language in which they are taught.
During the holidays they are having time set aside for reading with a teacher present should they need any help or explanation.
Our founder Mama Sue was an avid reader and ensured the Happy House, right from the outset, would have plenty of books on hand.
She grew up a lonely child and said that books were always special to her.
She said:”I could lose myself in a book, I could be anyone, anything and anywhere. They’d take me into another world.”
