We were delighted to welcome Aleixandre Sarrion, a volunteer who joined us over the holiday.
He planned to share some cooking lessons with the children during his stay, but on his very first day he brought with him a special surprise.
Wanting to make the day extra joyful, Aleixandre treated all the children to pizzas from a local restaurant.
The kids were so excited, and the happiness on their faces said it all as they enjoyed their unexpected treat together.
It was a wonderful way, as Florence tells us, to begin his time at the Happy House, and Aleixandre was amazed by the love, family spirit, and fantastic work that goes on here every single day.
The only one who didn’t get a slice was our youngest Happy house child, Pretty, whose just a bit too little for pizza yet!
