Building confidence, one voice at a time

Brian will soon be leaving the Hatch House, and he’s already taking big steps towards independence.

Recently, he’s been approaching local businesses to offer website design services as a way to earn an income and his efforts are starting to pay off.

But, like any skill, there’s always room to grow. Enter Teresa Murphy, a Learning and Development Consultant and Coach from Ireland.

Each week, Teresa has been meeting with Brian online to help him strengthen his inner voice.

Together, they’ve been working on building self-belief, breaking down communication barriers, and developing the clarity and confidence needed to pitch ideas effectively to local businesses in Watamu.

For Brian, these sessions have been eye-opening. He’s found that understanding yourself better doesn’t just help in business, but it makes you more confident in life as a whole.

And the good news doesn’t stop there. Teresa is now planning a six-session group programme our older children, focusing on Building a Confident Voice through social and emotional learning. We’re excited to see the impact this will have on even more of our family here at the Happy House.
