Close shave for Uncle Phil

Charity trustee Phil Marshall proved he’s a man of true courage—and a very good sport—during a visit to the Happy House.

Phil volunteered to be the model for one of our talented older girls, Priscilla, as she starts to develop her barbering skills.

What started as a simple training opportunity quickly turned into a memorable moment for everyone.

With a steady hand and growing confidence, Priscilla set to work, giving Phil a neat and stylish trim. Onlookers gathered with smiles, laughter, and plenty of encouragement as the transformation took shape.

For Priscilla, it was a chance to practice the craft she is interested in. For Phil, it was a chance to support and empower one of our young people in a wonderfully personal way—even if it meant trusting her with clippers!

Phil’s willingness to sit in the barber’s chair is just another example of the heart and humanity behind our Happy House family.
