Grade 5 students at Happy House School have been learning how to make a fireless cooker.
They have been working on the project led by science teacher, Mr Kazungu.
The topic falls within the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) because fireless cookers offer a sustainable and environmentally friendly way to cook, while also reducing reliance on traditional firewood, which has a detrimental impact on the environment and health.
They also save time and energy, allowing for more productive use of resources
