There’s nothing quite like the taste of freshly baked bread. At Happy House, our children enjoy this simple delight every Monday morning — a tradition they look forward to with great excitement.
The bread is lovingly baked by our cook in a wood‑fired oven in our outdoor kitchen, giving it that wonderful, rustic flavour you simply can’t get any other way.
This weekend, Saidi has been on a double mission, working alongside a group of children. Together, they’ve been making sure our grounds are neat and tidy, clearing away any debris. All bits of wood or fallen logs have been gathered into the wheelbarrow and taken straight to the kitchen wood store, ready to be used as fuel for the oven.
Saidi is deeply appreciative of everyone who plays a part in ensuring the children have delicious food to eat — from our hardworking staff to the kind supporters of our charity.
Thanks to you, the children in our care are well looked after in every area of their lives, and for that, we are truly grateful.
