Gift Aid makes a huge difference to small charities like our own, Children of Watamu.

It’s one of the easiest ways to help your donation go further—without costing you anything extra.

Gift Aid is a UK tax relief scheme that allows registered charities to reclaim an additional 25% on every eligible donation made by a UK taxpayer.

In simple terms: For every £1 you donate, we can claim an extra 25p. This increases the value of your support by a full quarter, helping us provide even more care, education, and opportunities for the children who depend on us.

Keeping your Gift Aid details up to date is vitally important.

When you signed up to sponsor a child, we asked you to register your Gift Aid eligibility and stressed the importance of notifying us of any change in circumstances that may make you ineligible.

We also ask that you let us know of any change of address or postcode.

We must be sure that our records remain accurate so that we can continue to claim Gift Aid correctly.

For this reason, we have been sending out emails to sponsors and regular donors to confirm their current details.

If you have received one of these emails, it would be immensely helpful if you could reply as soon as possible.
