Hand-picked many years ago by our beloved founder, the late Mama Sue, Uncle Charo continues to honour her trust and vision every single day.
He is forever grateful for the opportunity she gave him—and we feel equally grateful to have such a loyal, hardworking, and gifted member of our family.
From doors and desks to play equipment and repairs, any woodwork we need goes straight to Uncle Charo’s capable hands.
His attention to detail and pride in his craft shine through in every project.
Today, you’ll find him tidying up his workshop during a break in a job he’s working on at our school. Even while sweeping up, his dedication shows—everything in its place, everything done with care.
One of the things that inspires us most is how deeply Uncle Charo values his work. He often tells us how much he loves his job—how it allows him not only to support and educate his children, but also to continually grow his own skills as a carpenter.
For him, each new task is another opportunity to learn, improve, and create something meaningful
