Waste Warriors get a message from Paris

There was great excitement at the Happy House when Saidi shared some very special news — a card had arrived all the way from UNESCO headquarters in Paris, addressed to our Waste Warriors!

It was a moment of pride for our children who have been working hard to care for their environment.

Knowing that their efforts are being seen and appreciated by such an important organisation made their smiles even brighter.

Saidi was especially happy as he received a badge recognising him as the Waste Warrior leader for the month. He’ll be wearing it with pride as he helps the younger ones take responsibility for keeping our surroundings clean.

After his month is over, another child will be voted in to continue the role — a beautiful way to learn about leadership and teamwork.

A heartfelt thank you to Hayley, who made sure our little warriors were recognised at UNESCO, and to all our sponsors and friends for the love and support that makes moments like this possible.

At Happy House, we know that small acts, when done with love, can have a big impact — even reaching all the way to Paris.
