Happy House has some fantastic news – our greenhouses are now refurbished and ready to burst into life when the rains arrive properly.
Papa Dave and our family are thrilled to bits that we can now produce more vegetables and fruit to feed our family.
We launched our greenhouse appeal back in February and with a combnation of your very kind donations and a gift made in Kenya, all the work is done on all six.
A decade of use and the harsh Kenya weather had taken its toll had led to a drop in yield and greater exposure to pests.
The money raised from our appeal was boosted by a donation of net from a friend, who is a pastor in Mombasa, who provided the netting we needed.
Shade net is a knitted fabric with Uv-resistant additives that give it durability and longevity. The shade materials help in protecting plants from direct sunlight, winds and storms while the driplines ensure that the plants are getting the water needed,
We are ever-grateful to everyone who has made this work possible, we could not have done it without you.
Thank you.
