Cherry Ridgway, one of our much-loved trustees, shares a heart-warming update on the progress of our halfway houses.
These homes are an important step in helping our young people prepare for independent living while still feeling the love and support of their Happy House family.
They give our older children, who do not have any relatives able to give them a home when they reach 18 and must leave the care of our children’s home, a safe space to learn responsibility, build confidence, and take gradual steps towards their future — all while knowing they are never alone.
A big thank you to everyone who has made this possible.
Your kindness is helping us create not just houses, but to give the stability of family continuity whilst the young people find their feet in the independent world.
