At Happy House, we believe that love and care create a family, and Mama Sue was the heart of ours.
Her warmth, laughter, and dedication touched every child who walked through our doors. She wasn’t just a caregiver—she was a mentor and a guiding light.
Mama Sue had a special way of making each child feel seen and valued. Whether it was through her comforting hugs, her wise words, or the countless moments she spent listening and encouraging, she created a safe space where dreams could grow.
Her presence brought joy and stability, and her legacy will forever live in the smiles and confidence of the children she nurtured some of whom are now adults
. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit remains in every corner of Happy House. The kids share stories of her kindness and the lessons she taught—reminders that love is the strongest foundation of all.
As Thomas says, he is sure Mama Sue is happy where she is. That thought brings comfort to all of us, knowing her heart is at peace.
Thomas also enjoys keeping her memory blooming by tending the garden beneath the office window—the very spot where Mama Sue loved to look out and watch the children playing in the grounds of the wonderful home she created for them.
Every flower that blossoms there is a tribute to her love and vision
