Reconnecting with family

At Happy House, we believe that family bonds are precious.

For some of our children, the festive season brings a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with relatives and experience life within their own communities.

These visits are more than just a holiday—they are a chance to strengthen ties, share traditions, and feel the warmth of belonging.

Brothers Nickson and Brian Makotsi were overjoyed when their sister arrived to take them home for a visit. Both boys have been living in our care since they were very young, so being able to spend time with family is a truly special experience.

It means joining in community life, enjoying familiar surroundings, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.

For all our children who have relatives willing and able to welcome them, these visits are invaluable. They help maintain family connections and give the children a sense of identity and continuity.

While we will miss them during their time away, we know how important these moments are for their happiness and well-being.

For those staying with us, Happy House remains a place of love and care—because every child here is part of one big family.
