Every Christmas , Happy House receives a very special kind of magic — the kind that arrives not from the North Pole, but from Lytham, Lancashire.
Peter and Joanne Reid, long‑time friends and supporters of our Happy House family, once again stepped into their roles as Santa’s helpers, bringing joy, generosity, and an incredible spirit of kindness.
They came carrying bags and bags of thoughtful donations collected throughout the year from their wonderful circle of friends.
These gifts ranged from essential items like clothing and toiletries to treats that make childhood sparkle — soft cuddly toys, fun accessories, and beautiful surprises for our children.
When Papa Dave saw the sheer volume and quality of the donations, he was truly overwhelmed. His gratitude extends to each and every person who contributed.
Your kindness does more than helps fill our store cupboard — it fills hearts, offering comfort, dignity, and joy to our children.
Peter shared special thanks for a particularly meaningful contribution from his neighbours, Neil and Fiona Roberts, who run a wonderful youth foundation, Live Like Ralph, started in memory of late son. Their generous donation of high‑quality sweatshirts will keep our youngsters feeling special.
Another touching act of kindness came from more of Peter and Joanne’s friends, Gerry and Elaine, who have chosen to sponsor our newest arrival, baby Louis, for his first year at Happy House. Their support ensures that little Louis begins his journey with everything he needs — love, care, and the security of knowing he is part of a wider family who cares deeply for him.
To Peter and Joanne — and to every compassionate friend who donated — thank you.
Your continued love and generosity brighten our home year after year. You remind us that the true spirit of Christmas lives in the hearts of people who give without expecting anything in return.
Happy House is a happier place because of you.
