School life is now behind her, and Diana is looking forward to setting off on a new journey.
She is preparing to begin a course in Hospitality and Tourism—an exciting step towards building her future.
After spending much of her childhood at Happy House, life outside will feel very different. But she won’t be alone.
Diana will be moving into shared accommodation with two more of older girls in the second of our halfway houses, just as soon as the building work is completed.
It will give her the independence she needs, with the continued support of the family she has grown up with. These are thrilling times for our young people as they begin to make their own way in the world.
Every milestone they reach fills us with pride.
We know that our founder, the late Mama Sue, would be overjoyed to see how far they have come. She created this charity to transform the lives of children in need—to break the cycle of poverty they were born into—and these young adults are living proof of her vision.
Their achievements stand as a testimony not only to Mama Sue’s legacy but also to the kindness and generosity of everyone who supports our work.
Thanks to you, these young people have hope, opportunity, and a bright future ahead.
