The gentle touch

At Happy House, our younger children are never short of help.

Whatever they need—whether it’s tying shoelaces, finding a missing toy, or just someone to sit beside them—there is always an older child ready to step in with a smile

Salon day is a perfect example. Before the girls can have their hair beautifully braided again, the existing plaits have to come out. It’s a fiddly and time‑consuming job, especially for the tiniest braids. But no one faces it alone.

This week, we watched a lovely moment of teamwork and tenderness as Ludwin patiently unplaited the tiny braids in little Patience’s hair. With gentle fingers and even greater care, she worked through each thread, making sure her younger sister was comfortable throughout.
