There were no worries for our fantastic volunteersJames and Sabrina Derlacki when they challenged themselves with learning one of Kenya’s most loved songs – Jambo Bwana!
They had all our Happy House children eager to teach them and make sure they were word perfect.
After some dedicated practice , they chose Kids Club as the perfect moment to show off their new skills, and what a performance it was!
The children absolutely loved it, singing along, laughing, and helping them along the way. With another three weeks still to go, we’re quite sure this is just the beginning… the children will no doubt be teaching them many more songs before they head home!
Having volunteers like James and Sabrina is so special for Happy House. They help open the children’s eyes to the wider world, bringing new energy, experiences, and friendships into their lives.
We are so grateful to them for being a part of our family. They are making such a difference and we know you’ll be greatly missed when the time comes for them to return to the UK.
On top of everything, James and Sabrina have also set up a JustGiving fundraiser, raising an incredible amount of money that will have a real and lasting impact here at Happy House.
From all all our family to James and Sabrina, asante sana.
