Rose turns barber

Thanks to the generous donation of some professional hair clippers, the children at Happy House have been busy getting fresh haircuts and looking smart ready for school.

One of the lovely things about having the clippers at Happy House is that each child can choose exactly how they would like their haircut. Whether they prefer it a little longer or nice and short, they can have a style that suits them and helps them feel confident.

In this blog Rose is giving her brother Emmanuel a trim. There was plenty of laughter, a little but a lot of concentration, and lots of smiles as the children took turns helping one another.

As well as helping everyone look neat and tidy, having the clippers at home also saves us money that would otherwise be spent on trips to the barber. Every penny we save can be put towards supporting the children in other important ways, which always helps.

A huge thank you to the kind donor who made this possible. The clippers are already getting plenty of use and helping our children look their very best as they head off to school.
