After spending most of their lives at Happy House with lots of brothers and sisters around, Purity and Priscilla are now on the start of their journey to independence.
They are living in the second of our halfway houses where we provide supported living for young people who have been in our care but have nowhere to go when they reach 18.
Purity and Priscilla are still in school and to now not only do they have their studies to contend with they, they also have to look after themsleves at home.
They’ve been used to helping with chores but now there are no aunties and uncles to do the washing or cook the meals.
School days are long, but when they return to their new home, on a secure site, they cook their own meal every day and see to their own laundry.
Our director, Auntie Rose, and one of their youmger “sisters” from Happy House, Esther, called in on them to make sure they were OK
