When Louise Webster and her daughter Alice were packing their luggage for a holiday to Kenya they must have had little roiom for their own things – they brought so much for Happy House.
With the help of their friends they had gathered so many much-needed and useful items for our children which they were thrilled to deliver in person.
“We brought 40kg of donations including crocs, toiletries, children’s underwear, clothes, cycling shorts, loads of sanitary products, badminton set, twister, UNO and a few Christmas decorations thrown in, plus special gifts for sponsor children… and a surprise gift for our amazing Papa Dave,” said Louise.
Louise and her family have visited us many times over a lot of years and Louise was a huge help to Mama Sue in the early days when we were setting up our sponsorship scheme.
And being from Yorkshire she has lots in common with Papa Dave too!
Louise added in a post to her family and friends: “Alice and I will also be treating the children to ice cream. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. This charity has meant so much to me for such a long time, and every penny really does go straight to the children.”
We are so pleased to see them again and are deeply touched by their kindness, generosity and love.
To Louise, Alice, and everyone who continues to think of us, support us, and bring smiles to our children’s faces, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
We are who we are today because of people like you.
We are nothing without your love and support, and we never take it for granted.
