Mwende was one of our very first Happy House children, the youngest of three siblings who came into our care within weeks of us opening in 2010.
She was just a toddler but as bright as a button and immediately won a place in all our hearts.
Now, 16 years on she is opening a window on a brand new world as she embarks on an IT course at Zetech University in Ruiru, near Nairobi.
We hope her life at Happy House will have prepared her for the challenges ahead and we look forward to following her progress.
We just wish her Mama Sue was here to share in her big moment!
