Dulla’s sights set on computer career

When Dulla turned 18 it was time for him to move on from living in our children’s home but he didn’t go far.

Our support carries on for young people who do not have relatives able to give them a home until they are able to support themselves.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we have three small bungalows, our halfway houses, on a site close to Happy House, They provide a stepping stone between living in the children’s home and becoming completely independent.

Our young people can live here while they finish their education and prepare for the future, knowing that their Happy House family is still right beside them whenever they need it.

Dulla recently moved into one of the bungalows, where he is now living alongside three other Happy House young men. It’s an exciting new experience and one that comes with plenty of new responsibilities!

He is learning all the practical skills that come with independent living – cooking his own meals, washing his clothes, keeping his home tidy and taking responsibility for himself.

At the same time, Dulla is concentrating on his education. He is currently in Form 4, his final year of high school, which he will complete in December. We have every faith in him and are encouraging him to work hard and achieve the very best he can.

Once he has completed high school, he would like to continue his education at college, with aspirations to study computers or cybersecurity.

We’re very proud of you, Dulla, and we can’t wait to see where you will go next.
