First day at college for Diana

After sharing the wonderful news that Mwende, one of our Happy House children, has started her first university semester in Nairobi, another of our girls is embarking on college life.

Diana is now settling in at Kenya Coast Polytechnic, where she will be studying Hospitality.

Here, on her first day, she is pictured in her room, already making friends with the girls she will be sharing with as she begins this new chapter of college life.

Without the support of her sponsors and our wider community of supporters, taking our children on to higher and further education would simply not be possible.

Both we, and the young people themselves, are deeply grateful to everyone who has, over many years, ensured that children from backgrounds of tragedy or extreme hardship have enjoyed a safe and loving home, alongside an education that will enable them to support themselves as adults.

From the very beginning, we set out to break the cycle of poverty. Diana, Mwende, and others like them are living proof that this commitment is making a lasting difference.

They are both our success story and yours.
