We were delighted to welcome Queen Monica and her husband, Oluwadayomi Charles Paul, from Nigeria during their recent visit to Kenya.
They met the Happy House children at church and immediately formed a special connection. From that very first meeting, a beautiful and meaningful friendship began.
Since then, they have been coming to see us every Saturday afternoon, spending quality time with the children.
Through these visits, they have been teaching valuable life skills, encouraging confidence, and inspiring the children to believe in themselves and the bright futures ahead of them. Queen Monica, who was crowned a beauty queen in Nigeria, recently celebrated an important milestone—10 years since her crowning achievement.
To mark this special occasion, she chose to celebrate in the most thoughtful way possible: by sharing the moment with the Happy House family. She generously organised a wonderful party for both the children and staff.
She was joined by her friends, Gaya and Heather, who helped make the day truly unforgettable.
Together, they arranged delicious food, a professional photographer to capture precious memories, and a talented saxophonist who filled the celebration with beautiful live music.
The children also played an important role in the festivities. They prepared a variety of performances and activities, proudly sharing their talents and adding even more joy and energy to the occasion. Their enthusiasm brought smiles and laughter to everyone present, making the celebration even more special.
The day was filled with music, dancing, laughter, and love, creating lasting memories for all. Most importantly, the children felt valued, celebrated, and deeply appreciated, making it a truly meaningful and unforgettable experience for the entire Happy House family.
