Who says hot chocolate is just for winter? Even as the temperature starts to rise in sunny Watamu, Kenya, the children at the Happy House tucked into a wonderfully cosy treat – hot chocolate, marshmallows, and a Christmas movie under the stars!
Thanks to the generosity of Miriam who is from Blackpool in the UK, who supported buying marshmallows and sprinkles, and the helping hands of our Happy House friends Louise, Lewis, Hayley and a few pairs of extra little hands, the evening was a roaring success.
Fresh milk, a dollop of whipped cream, gooey marshmallows, and a sprinkle of fun made each mug a little masterpiece.
Some of the children even had a go at whipping the cream themselves, flexing their muscles (and their enthusiasm) to make sure it was just right.
It feels like we’ve stumbled upon a new Happy House tradition, one we hope will bring joy for years to come.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this magical evening possible. Here’s to more warm memories and choco-lots of fun in the future!
