Five years on from her death, the Happy House family came together to remember our beloved founder, Mama Sue.
Her husband and soulmate, Papa Dave , organised a simple and heartfelt memorial at Mama Sue’s resting place in our school grounds, where he placed her favourite roses in loving remembrance.
Together, the family shared a prayer, reflected on the incredible legacy she left behind, and sang two of her favourite songs.
Although five years have passed, Mama Sue’s love, kindness, and vision continue to live on in every child who calls Happy House home.
Her compassion created a family that continues to grow, thrive, and change lives every single day.
The children’s happiness and the opportunities they have after coming from such tragic backgrounds, is Mama Sue’s living legacy.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who continues to support Children of Watamu in her memory.
Through your generosity, Mama Sue’s dream lives on, bringing hope, love, and opportunity to children who need it most.
Forever in our hearts, Mama Sue. You will never be forgotten.
