Five weeks have flown by for our amazing volunteers, James and Sabrina Derlacki.
It feels like no time at all since we were first welcoming them into the Happy House family, and now we find ourselves having to say goodbye.
During their time with us, James and Sabrina have given so much—helping wherever they were needed, both at home and in school, and generously sharing their considerable skills and talents.
Their willingness to step in, support our family, and embrace daily life here has meant a great deal to everyone.
Just as they have taught us so much, James and Sabrina have also gained a new perspective, experiencing a different world and culture first‑hand.
Saying goodbye was done with heavy hearts on both sides, along with heartfelt thanks for everything they have contributed.
They will be greatly missed as they return to the routine of life back in England, but we have a strong feeling this won’t be the last we see of them. We hope they will be back to visit us again before too long.
