On her visit to Happy House last week, Children of Watamu charity trustee Cherry brought with her some solar panels with small batteries.
They were kindly donated from generous people in England and will be used as a trial at Happy House and also on the bungalows on our halfway house site, a short walk away, where we provide accommodation to those young people who must leave our care at 18 but who maybe in vocational training or finishing education and have where else to go.
This ensures they have supported living where they can be independent and develop life skills until they can stand on their own feet.
The small solar panels will be a good way to test how solar power would be helpful and effect at Happy House. We are very grateful to the donors.
