Such a special visit

How lovely it was to meet and make new friends from the UK when Penny, Kevin, Archie, Lottie and Flora came to see us all at the Happy House.

Penny had been in touch before they left to arrange to come along and bring much needed and welcome reading books for our children, having already made a donation from fundraising.

She works at Little Amesbury School in Surrey which has been a part of a fundraising effort at which staff, parents, pupils and friends raised more than £700 for our family.

Their generosity will go a long way in helping us meet the children’s needs, especially now that the children are at home for the holidays and for when they go back to school.

The cost of starting a new school year with uniforms, PE kits, shoes and all those extras needed is high when you have 50+ children from pre-school to secondary to get ready!

Every bit of support makes a difference to us and is deeply appreciated. It is made even more special when we get to meet some of the people involved becvause they choose to visit us while they arew on holiday in Watamu..

Penny, Kevin, Archie, Lottie and Flora, thank you so much for thinking of Happy House, for your kindness, and for the love you have shown our children. We are so grateful that your holiday in Watamu brought you through our doors.

Your support and that of everyone at Little Amesbury means more than words can say. You are a part of our Happy House family, and we hope to see you again!
