With so many children in the loving care of the Happy House family, you can imagine there are always plenty of dishes to be washed after mealtimes.
Just like any family, everyone has a part to play in helping around the home. Our Kids Council, made up of six children selected to represent the voices of all our children, also helps to organise the weekly chore rota.
The children take turns with different jobs around the Happy House, helping them learn responsibility, teamwork and the everyday skills they will need as they grow older and become more independent.
Today it was the girls’ turn to tackle the washing up, but Emmanuel decided to lend an extra pair of hands and help them get through the mountain of dishes a little quicker.
It might not be the most exciting job at the Happy House, but with a few extra hands and some good company, even the washing up gets done in no time.
That’s what being part of the Happy House family is all about, everyone playing their part and helping each other.
