What makes you happy?

What makes you happy?

Such a simple question, but sometimes the answers can say so much.

Many of our children came to us after experiencing circumstances that no child should have to face. From the beginning, our aim has always been that their sadness stops at the gates of the Happy House and that what waits for them inside is love, security, opportunity and, most importantly, a family.

The Happy House is not an institution. It is a home where our children grow up surrounded by people who care for them, to experience the simple joys of childhood and to build happy memories that they can carry with them throughout their lives.

So today, we caught up with four of our younger Happy House children – Victor, Peter, Christine and Betty and asked them one very simple question: What makes you happy?

Their answers are wonderfully simple and heartwarming. They are a lovely reminder that happiness for a child can be found in the smallest things having fun on the swings, spending time together and enjoying the everyday moments that make childhood special.

And those happy moments are only possible because of the people who stand behind our Happy House family. To every sponsor, supporter and donor, thank you. Your support provides much more than food, education and a safe place to live; it helps give our children a childhood filled with love, experiences and memories.

Thank you for helping us to make the Happy House a very happy house indeed.
